Sugar Bowl Challenge 55

I had a great day yesterday with Jenny Trueman who was holding a Demo at my local craft store.  Jenny is amazing at using Promarkers and has really inspired me to get my crafting finger out and do some work.  So I decided that I would enter this weeks challenge over at The Sugar Bowl which has been set by Erika using Spring as the theme and using the sketch below as the template.  I love this theme as there is so much you can do with it.  When I think of Spring I think of blue skies and daffodils so that's what I have based my colour choices on.

I decided to use the Simply Sassy (this has to be my most favourite range by sugar Nellie) stamp Bad Hair Day.  As always I used my wonderful Promarkers to colour the stamp which I am now starting to build quite a collection of colours lol.  The backing papers I have used are Kaisercraft seaside Collection and the plain papers are American Craft.  I have edged the light blue paper with Color Box Cat's Eye Blue Lagoon.  The flowers I have used are Mulberry Street from Petaloo topped with Papermania buttons.  The sentiment and candi I have used are from Craftworks.

Please feel free to leave a comment. Thank you for looking.

Playing Catch-up

My local craftshop frequently holds card classes which I love to attend when I get the chance.  Back in November (or could it have even been as far back as October) one of the card classes that I attended was to make 3 cards using Woodware Clear Magic Stamps Collection BD23 2DE Christmas Trees and Robins.

Theses classes are always great fun and a lovely way to meet some new fellow crafters :)  However I think Kate who normally takes the class tries to scare the rest of the group away from my friends and I by saying we are trouble, the cheek lol.  I don't know where she gets that idea from :)

I love putting the new things I have learnt into good use and continue to practice them at home.  I repeated the same design we had used at the class but used Crafts House Plum Pudding papers along with Bazzil Basic plain red and green to give it that Christmas feel instead.  I have used Promarkers to colour the robins (not chickens Kate) and mounted them onto the card using 3mm foam pads.

It's Been Far Too Long

Sorry that it has taken me so long getting round to putting something on here.  I don't know about you but there always seems to be a hundred and one things that are needing done and never enough time to do it lol :)

I spent last night updating my photos of cards that I have been making since Christmas (and after much nagging from Kate :)), I decided it was about time I got my finger out and got round to updating this blinking thing.

Today I am rewinding back time and going back to Christmas.

This was a very special card that I made for a very good friend of mine using the lovely Sugar Nellie Winter Birds rubber stamp by Diane Duda which can be purchased here.  I have coloured the image using Promarkers and added a couple of Papermania snowflake toppers with Bo Bunny papers.
